NAGA City — PHA president Jaime “Jimi” Lim completed a double celebration when he swept both the Young Bird and Old Bird series at the start of the 2013 PHA South Series here last Feb. 3.
Lim’s entry — a blue cheque cock out of Koopman X Crack 52 F3/Jos Thone origin with PHA Band No. 12-2105229 — made a speed of 1.348. 644 meter per minute to rule the Young Bird category.
Two other Lim’s entries — a blue cheque hen out of Jos Van Den Broucke “Didi” Line X Van Riet /Jos Thone with PHA 12-2105209 ( time: 1.348.296) and a pied blue cheque white flight out of Flying Machine/Jos Thone X Dewit Van Bunderen /Horemans with PHA 12-2105211 (time: 1.345.662) — finished second and third, respectively.
The other top 10 finishers were Johnson Si, fourth; Burlington Loft, fifth; Emmanuel Go, sixth; Jimi Lim, seventh; David/Wilford, eighth; Jimi Lim, ninth; and Jimi Lim, 10th.
In the Old Bird class, Lim’s blue cheque white flight hen out of Koopman X Koopman/Flying Machine bloodline with PHA 12-2116367 topped the event with a speed of 1.348.632 meter per minute.
Lim made it a 1-2 finish when his blue cheque hen out of Tommy So Line X Crack 52/Jos Thone bloodline clocked 1.345.685 meter per minute.
Edison Yap averted an all-Lim show when his pied blue cheque white flight cock out of Batenburg Van de Merwe with PHA 12-2114966 finished third with a speed of 1.341.322.
Also making it were Jimi Lim, Jimi Lim, Burlington Loft, Burlington Loft, Johnso Si, Jimi Lim and Augusto Celis III.
PHA chairman Nelson Chua said a total of 1,356 young birds out of 1,487 from 62 lofts and 924 old birds out of 992 birds from 46 lofts were clocked.
